Yesterday, we went wandering around Fort Worth this weekend. Seeking air conditioning, fled into the Kimbell Art Museum https://www.kimbellart.org/index.aspx which had a lovely collection of Impressionists / post impressionists on loan from Chicago; Manet, Degas, Renoir, etc.
Kiddo (5) enjoyed the audio tour more than the paintings; Mum (61) absolutely loved it; J dutifully viewed each one.

Then we went into the Modern which is across the parking lot. There, they were exhibiting Kara Walker (some very frank silhouettes being rather explicit). Not anything you would expect from Fort Worth, but there it was. Kiddo did not get to go, Mum did not want to go. I wanted to also go to Amon Carter, which is also right there, but the family decided they had enough culture for one day.

Later, J and I went to a wine tasting wherein the wines left something to be desired; but the crowd (and it was a crowd, too many people in one place) was nice and most friendly; which was helped progressively by the wine tasted.
